Assignment 2: Film Pitch

Our production task for Assignment 2 involves coming up with our own film promotion for an original movie that we have created.

Title and tagline:Rouge.Him vs The world.

Genre (and sub-genre if applicable):Action

Logline – one sentence that sums up the film and hooks people in (25 words or fewer):This is a film about a strong and smart man trying to discover what the MI6 is truly up to while being framed for a murder he has never done.

Other successful films that are similar to yours:mission impossible rogue nation.

Narrative structure – what happens in the film and in what order (max 100 words):It starts with a man who works for the a MI6 but found out their deep bad secrets.He then tries to eascape from them and find a way to stop the MI6.But as he slowly gets away MI6 realises what he knows and frames a very important murder on him and now the whole world is trying get him.So he has two goals stop MI6 and prove his inocent.


Hero/heroine, their desires, the conflicts they encounter etc.:Hero is named Jack and he wants to stop a evil company.

Costume/props that the hero requires (for film poster photoshoot):Suit or casual clothes.

Other characters and their audience appeal:A friend of his help him. 

Target audience for your film (age, gender, social class, interests etc.):20-34 male c1-b social class with a interset of action films.

spectre trailer analysis

The first convention I saw was the opening/setting on the city maybe at mexico as there was a festival going on.Non-diegetic sounds are also included in the trailer meaning the characters can't hear the music or diologue in the back round.

Seconed convection is fast paced editing through out the whole trailer shows its a action movie because most action movies have lots of cuts to show the next action packed thing about to happen.So people will more likely want to watch it as it reminds them of other good action movies.

The third convention is the realse date and the title which is shown at the end of the trailer so people will know when to watch it and what it is called and set at the end.So u get excited by seeing all the action packed scenes that makes you want to see it after the trailer.

I think the trailer done well as it made me want to watch it.

spectre movie poster analysis

The first thing i spot on the central image is the main character being protrayed as a dangerious and smart man. The gun shows that he is ready to kill meaning people who want to watch this are into action and adventure  films.

The title spectre is good and creates synergy between the main character because James Bond (the main character) is a spy and not to be seen and the word spectre is anther word for ghost.So ghost and spy are kinda connected.

The caption 007 shows that it is a James bond movie and therefore attracting more people to it as the James bond movies are already known .

I think the poster did well as it portyed the movie well and made me want to find out about the film.

I have chosen this film as the bond series have been good so far and I wanted  to see if it is good or not.

Institutional background 
The studio making spectre are Eon productions. The same film company who made all the other James bond movies.

The genre for the film Spectre was action,adventure and thriller.

It fits the genre because there is a lot of fight scenes and also gun scenes that you find in a lot of action/adventure films like The dark knight.

The actor Daniel Craig is in a lot of action films like cowboys vs aliens. Also the actor Christoph Waltz is in lots of other action movies like Django unchained.

NCIS on star wars

Narrative 

This is movie is set after the the original trilogy of star wars and seems like two stars of it lived rough and found out out they had power to fight the dark side. So its a simple good v.s bad movie and trying to protect planet/universe. 

Character 

The first male character is not the only protagonist but by himself he is set as a hero strong and brave like everyday modern hero's trying to save the world making him generic. The second person is a women who looks strong and independent portraying her as a hero and to save the world. This is kinda different to a normal Holy wood star a most of them are men.

Iconography

This a big sci fi film so they will be a lot of; guns,lazers,spaceships,hi tech equipment and maybe aliens.

Setting

First it starts on a spaceship which is broken up. Then opened up in a dessert (possibly on anther plant) Then out of space with a ship falling. And then on the bad guy on the ship.

This film is aimed towards people 18-30 as it is really violent with lots of blood,gore and cursing.There is more types of audience like maybe 30-40 as they will enjoy watching because it is smiler to films they like.The gender is most likely for males as there is a lot of things that males like that girls might not like guns,cars and other.Anther film they could like which is smiler to mad max is I AM LEGEND as it is a post apocalyptic world like mad max.
